When we provide Principal Contractor Services DMC Walling will:
Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate the entire construction phase.
Assess health and safety risks to workers, the public, and anyone affected by the project.
Work closely with the client and principal designer to ensure risks are effectively managed throughout the project.
Develop a written construction phase plan before work begins, ensuring it remains up to date and fit for purpose.
Maintain ongoing health and safety management throughout the project.
Engage with workers, ensuring their health, safety, and welfare are prioritised.
Provide and maintain suitable welfare facilities for the duration of the project.
Ensure that all appointed workers have the skills, knowledge, and experience required to perform their tasks safely.
Deliver site-specific inductions and provide any additional training needed.
Implement security measures to prevent unauthorised site access.
Collaborate with the principal designer to share crucial information.

Nevertheless, we also recognise that construction projects, especially in residential areas, can be disruptive for property owners and occupants. To address this, our Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) team works proactively to keep residents informed, engaged, and supported throughout the project.
At DMC Walling, we understand the importance of proactive resident liaison management. Our in-house Resident Liaison Team is dedicated to maintaining clear communication with property owners, occupants, and managing agents to ensure a smooth and transparent construction process.
Early Engagement is Key
Our RLO team takes the lead in communication, engaging with the client team, DMC personnel, and residents’ groups from the PCSA/Pre-Start period. By establishing dialogue early, we ensure that residents’ concerns and preferences are acknowledged, helping to minimise the disruption caused by the final phase of construction. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible while maintaining a customer-first approach.

Our RLO team will maintain a strong on-site presence, offering a welcoming and approachable point of contact for all residents. Whether addressing concerns, providing reassurance, or simply offering a friendly chat over a cup of tea, our RLO ensures that the resident experience is as stress-free as possible.
By acting as the first point of contact, the RLO helps divert concerns away from the delivery teams, allowing the construction process to progress efficiently while ensuring residents feel heard and supported.
Our RLO team collaborates closely with the client’s customer care team, ensuring that all communication is pre-approved and aligned with project expectations. We provide regular updates through the client’s preferred platforms, recognising that resident satisfaction is a key KPI.
